I started my career playing in the clubs around the north of England and Wales. I also spent some time on cruise ships, doing contracts for Airtours and Swan Hellenic.
As a freelance bass guitar/double bassist, I have worked with many artists over the years including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Joe Brown, The Supremes, The Drifters, Opera North, Sam Brown, Mark Knopfler, Dennis Locorriere, Jools Holland, the Novello orchestra, and Toyah Willcox.
Regular dep work on many west end shows includes Avenue Q, Dirty Dancing, Grease, Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Wicked, Never Forget, Sister Act, Shrek, Spamalot, The Rocky Horror Show, and Book of Mormon. Work on UK touring productions includes Cats, Sweet Soul Music, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I was the regular bass player for Grease (2004-5) and Sister Act (2012)
I have been the bassist for Joe Brown since 2008.

I have co-authored Rock And Read (with bassist Phil Mulford), a series of books for music students which are now being made available in digital format on the Apple store.
