A FIRST FOR OVERWATER

We have to admit this newsletter is a bit of a teaser. We have some news about a great new line of basses and an amazing offer coming up later this week. We've promised to keep it under wraps for a few more days, so watch this space!

NEW PLAYERS JOIN THE OVERWATER 'FAMILY'

We have always prided ourselves on the broad range of great players who use our basses and a couple of recent custom orders just go to emphasise this.

CHRIS HARGREAVES

First up is dubstep and grime bass pioneer Chris "Fatty" Hargreaves who has ordered a new J-Series 4 Classic for his work with Submotion Orchestra and True Tiger. We have been asked to get the bass ready for an exciting new project taking place in mid December. More information coming soon!

Chris's new bass features a 34" scale, 19mm string spacing, Swamp Ash body, 1 piece flat sawn Birdseye Maple neck with bound Rosewood fingerboard and MOP block inlays. It will be finished in a light natural lacquer and have no scratch-plate.

For more information about Chris and what he's up to, take a look at his website HERE

PETER WILLMOTT

At the other end of the musical spectrum is Peter Willmott who has been double bass player with the BBC Philharmonic since 1972 - but also well known for his prowess as an electric player. Pete is one of those rare all round bass players who is equally at home playing all styles of music from classics to jazz and world music.

Pete has ordered a 35" scale Progress 5 string. Spec' includes a 5 piece Maple & Walnut through neck, Walnut body, 'Birdseye' Zebrano top and an Indian Rosewood fret-board with custom inlays. OW5 pickups and 3 band EQ.
