Over the years we have worked with hundreds of bass players to create the incarnation of their perfect instrument – it's what we do. But every once in a while a very special relationship develops into a true partnership and something unique is achieved.

Scott Devine’s relationship with Overwater began nearly fifteen years ago – and even then we recognized his unique musical talent – but since then, he has gone on to become one of the most versatile and in demand bass players on the UK music scene today.

Scott has performed and recorded with artists as diverse as Georgie Fame, Dennis Rollins, Martin Simpson, Adrian Ingram, Gary Boyle, The Drifters, The Four Tops, Spyro Gyra, Peter Grant and is currently musical director for platinum selling Polish artist Tatiana Okupnik.

His own education encompasses a who's who of bass greats and world class jazz musicians, studying with Skuli Sverrisson, Jeff Andrews, Ralph Alessi, Ravi Coltrane, Brad Shepik, Adam Rogers, Mike Walker, Zoltan Dekany and Gary Willis.

Scott has a passion and commitment to education and is becoming one the most highly regarded bass teachers in the UK. He lectures at several Universities in the UK and has been invited to teach at a number of jazz summer schools across Europe.

He is founder, creator and owner of an extremely popular and ever growing bass educational website, with over 60 HD video lessons available and an interactive educational bass forum called 'The Campus'.
