Dan Ezard Bio

Originating from Cornwall, Dan began his musical foray aged 15. He studied Jazz at a local college and later attended Leeds Conservatoire, earning a Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Contemporary music. Post-university, Dan relocated to London, immersing himself in its music scene. Over 20 years, he has accumulated diverse experiences, from intimate club gigs to touring the world and performing in front of 65,000 fans in London’s Hyde Park.

Alongside his busy live and touring schedule, Dan runs his own teaching business West London Bass Lessons specialising in online 1-2-1 bass lessons.

Why do you choose to play Overwater basses?

My bass teacher at Leeds Conservatoire was Zoltany Deckany, and he had an incredible bass that Overwater had made. After I moved to London, I started working more in the pop and session scene and knew I needed one bass that could do it all. The J Series was and continues to be the perfect instrument.
