ordering an overwater instrument
terms & Conditions
ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS
To confirm your order Overwater Basses require a 25% deposit for all new instrument orders.
Receipt of your deposit ensures a place in our build schedule and confirms the agreed price – unless design, material or component changes are made prior to, or during production, in which case you will be informed and your specification sheet updated.
Production is guaranteed and the usual delivery time will be between 12 and 16 weeks from confirmation of your order unless otherwise agreed. However, all our instruments are individually built in small batches and production times can vary and more ‘custom’ or complicated builds can take longer. Should the expected completion date change significantly, we will make all reasonable efforts to contact you and make you aware of the change.
COMMENCEMENT OF BUILD
When we receive your deposit, your order is confirmed and a receipt will be issued – forming the basis of the contract between us to build your instrument to the agreed specification. Your deposit is Non-Refundable.
COMPLETION OF BUILD
When your instrument is nearly complete and in final finishing, we will notify you that the balance remaining for your order will be due and payable. Once your build is underway, Overwater reserves the right to require payment in full.
Once a balance invoice is sent, you will have fourteen (14) days from the date of this notification to make payment. Should you fail to make this payment, we reserve the right to sell your instrument and will consider your deposit to have been forfeited.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
Orders may be cancelled or postponed up to point of the commencement of your build – however, after an order is accepted and confirmed deposits are no-refundable.
All Overwater instruments carry a 5 year warranty covering materials and workmanship. However any work or modifications within this period must be carried out by Overwater, or our authorised agents in order to retain the warranty. Work carried out by any non-authorised third party will automatically void your warranty.
