Based on the unique J4 bass we built for internationally respected educator Scott Devine, the creator and founder the SBL Academy, when he began building his YouTube career back in 2010.

With its ‘undersize’ 20 fret J style body profile, narrow 16.5mm string spacing and shorter 33″ scale, this bass encompasses many of the physical attributes associated with Scott’s own style of playing and philosophy of economy of movement – a design that has now found favour with hundreds of bass players looking for a more compact J style instrument.
